The power engineers of Aktobe Ferroalloy Plant together with “Ust-Kamenogorsk Capacitor Plant”, Ltd. and specialists of the contractors have reconstructed the Filter Capacitor Bank of the main step-down substation of the enterprise.
Foreign-made Filter Capacitor Banks often turned off and failed, and their replacement required a lot of money. Therefore, UKCP management board decided to replace all foreign-made capacitor banks with domestic ones.
Filter Capacitor Banks produced by UKCP will help metallurgists to reduce the downtime of furnaces in smelting shop No. 4, and this will have a positive effect on the implementation of the production plan.
By the way, the installation of new capacitors on the equipment will allow the enterprise to reduce the overall cost of electricity, reduce the load on all elements of the distribution network – lines, transformers and other devices, thereby extending their service life.
